A Beautiful Weekend!!!

In May we were able to celebrate two of the most important occasions in ones life!

Tommy's Baptism and Macy's Baby Blessing

The Baptism was so special to me because I have worried for so long that Tommy's dad would not allow him to do it. He is such a sweet boy and was so happy that his dad agreed. He was baptized by his Uncle Michael. He is a great kid and a wonderful role model for Tommy. I will never forget the look on Tommy's face after he was baptized and he came over to give me and Barry each a big hug. I was filled with intense love for him in that moment and got a small glimpse of how much our Heavenly Father loves him.

Tommy was able to get Baptized that same day as a few of his closest friends.

He dad lots of people there to support him!! His grandpa, uncle and dad came from Texas. His grandma, grandpa, and my aunt came from Utah. Than lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, grandma and grandpa from Calgary came. Plus many friends!

The next day we were able to bless little Macy in church. Barry was very nervous to do this blessing since we all know that Macy is a special angel! After the blessing, he told his brother that it was the hardest thing he has ever done. He said he felt inadequate to bless her! He did an AMAZING job. There were many tears shed by those in our family and those not in our family! We had many people come up to us and tell us how touched they were.
It was a special moment where the Vail between Heaven and Earth felt very thin!!!

One of my favorite parts of the blessing was where Barry said, "Macy, you were sent to our family for a very special reason. We needed you more than you needed us!"
"I testify to you this day that the time will come when every man, woman, and child will look into the Savior's loving eyes. On that day, we will know with a surety the worth of our decision to straightway follow Him." --Joseph B. Wirthlin

Your son is so handsome! Thats neat he got to be baptised on the same day as some of his friends, he looked very happy.
Loved what you wrote about Macys blessing, made me cry. I know Heavenly Father sent Russell to our family for a reason...and we did need him more than he needed us. He has brought us so much joy!
You have a beautiful family :)
