In light and heat!

Most of you know that I LOVE to read! I think that is the only reason I can handle pumping and then bottle feeding my baby every three hours. I get to read during that whole hour!
I am usually into deep books. I just finished the sequel to "pillars of the earth" called "worlds without end."
I am now reading "Jackdaws" a world war 2 book about a band of women resistance workers trying to blow up an important nazi communication building. It is based on true events.
It's good, but... with summer approaching, I am wanting something light, girly, and just fun. Like The summerhouse or Sisterhood of the traveling pants.
Any suggestions? What is your favorite light summertime read?

The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie and The Weed that Strings that Hangman's Bag by Alan Bradley are pretty fun and well written too.
Also, have you ever read anything by Alexander McCall Smith? He's written a bunch of series - the most popular is the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, but my favourite is the Isabel Dalhousie series - the first one is called The Sunday Philosophy Club.
Oh and if you haven't already, you HAVE to read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. But before you do, make sure you have the second one in your hot mitt because you will definitely want to read it the second you finish!!
I can give book recommendations until the cows come home so let me know if you need some more!

When my baby was new I read "The Guernsey literary and potato peel pie society". It was a little fluffy, but really enjoyable. The chapters are short, so it is easy to read in small doses, which was helpful with a little babe.

Hope you are doing well. I have been thinking about you guys lately!

I'll be checking back to read peoples' suggestions! I think it's almost been a year since I read a book and the last one was a memoir on raising a child with Ds. I can barely make it through my magazines in a month. We're just at that too tired/busy to sit and read stage.

Ditto to No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency. There's a new one out right now, but start at the start. Hunger Games, a must read. Potato Peel Society one of my faves. For some summer fluff, how about "The Next Thing on My List by Jill Smolinsky"? I read it a few summers ago and I liked it. Also Baldacci and Grisham are nice summer reads.
