Tommy's Talk

Tommy gave a talk in primary on sunday. He did such a good job, he stood up and read it only stumbling a few words. I think opportunities for our kids to speak in front of a group are so great! It teaches them confidence and prepares them for speaking as an adult. Here is his talk.

A few weeks ago, my sister Kyla burned her hands on the fireplace at home. It was really scary for my family. But it was mostly scary for me because I love me sister so much. I knew that if I said a prayer, that Heavenly Father would protect her, so I did. When we got to the hospital the doctor said we did the right thing and her hands would be better in a few weeks.

D&C 88:126 "Pray always, that ye may not faint, until I come. Behold, and lo, I will come quickly, and receive you unto myself. Amen."

I know that Heavenly Father answers our prayers. I am glad that I can pray for help when I am scared or sad. I know that Heavenly Father loves me, and helps me.
