I had a tooth extraction last Friday morning. Long story short... I HAVE CRAPPY TEETH!! Anyway, I am also an oral hygiene freak and too vigorously cleaned it afterwords. BAD MISTAKE! I guess I knocked the blood clot out and now I have a dry socket! So, that equals a swollen cheek and lots of pain!!! Anyway, that where I have been. I will be fine in time, but now I just have to wait for the thing to heal and deal with the pain. I did get a prescription for T3, but it mostly makes me drowsy and doesn't get rid of all the pain. So I guess back to ibuprofen for the most part! Here are some pictures of dry socket (no sensor needed). Not mine... that would be gross!

Ouch! That's no fun. I got dry sockets when I got my wisdom teeth out a few years ago. I feel your pain!

My husband had dry sockets when he got his wisdom teeth out and it was very painful!! Hope you are feeling better soon!
