I hope this works!

I have decided that I can no longer clean up after everybody, myself. I am pretty sure that mom, does no equal MAID! I have been feeling like this lately. So, here is my solution. Or at least this will ease my burden a little!

I have made a chore chart for Tommy. Since I never need the same things done every day. I decided that #1 he has to clean his room and make his bed every day. I am willing to help him make his bed so he can get it straight. #2 For every extra chore he does on top of that, he gets a sticker on the chart! When he gets 10 stickers, he gets a small prize. I will have to make a rule about a big prize at some point. He seems excited about this!

I also made a homework chart. Tommy hates doing homework and always complains when that time comes. It's silly because he does quite well when he stops freaking out! So for every day that he does his homework with no frustration or complaint, he gets a sticker. He also gets a sticker when he moves up a level in his reading or when he masters a math skill. 10 stickers equals a small prize. Who else has tried this... does it work???

I've done that it works good as long as you keep it up. I get bored, I swear I have ADD. Right now I tell them everybodys property has to be picked up before meals, my kids love to eat so it works for us. It's cute to hear Devin say property.

I haven't done a set list, but my kids know when they want to do something like play the computer, they have to do a chore. It's so nice to have the extra help and frankly was a d'uh moment for me. We also do the sticker chart thing, especially for a bigger toy. Then, my kids have to check on the toy of choice everytime we go to Wal-Mart to make sure it's still there!

Max has a chore chart, and it works great! I no longer have to do everything and I love it!
