I am going to start a new blog tradition. I will call it Hero Fridays!!! I am doing this because I am so moved by people willing to sacrifice everything for the greater good! There are not many people in the world brave enough or willing to do this!!! So here is my first hero!! Let me know who your hero's are.

I learned of this man after watching Valkrie last night. Google him to learn more! This man (among others) attempted an assassination on Hitler in 1944. It was a very dangerous thing to do and he ultimately was caught and executed. This man will and should be remembered! He witnessed first hand the horrible things that occured during WWII and was not willing to just let them happen!!! He tried to make a difference! My favorite quote from the movie "valkyrie", Which I am not sure was actually said by Stauffenberg ( but could have been) was near the end of the movie. One of the Colonels that helped him was about to be executed and he was scared and looking at the ground. Stauffenberg said to him..."Look them in the eys, one day they will remember you!" I love that, I will remember :)

I went to see that movie a couple weeks ago. It was good despite Tom Cruise playing the main role. Apparently they spent a lot of money on research and filming to ensure the movie was accurate.
