Our pumpkins are bettter than your pumpkins!!

We found some large, round amazing pumpkins this year at the Calgary Corn Maze! Expensive? Yes! But worth it! I am usually the mom searching the city for pumpkins the day before halloween. So I am proud of myself go getting them early!

It has been a busy few months, mostly because Barry has been working down in Montana at our newest resort golf course - The Wilderness Club . It has been hard having him gone so much, but it is worth it because we are so excited about this new project! It is all the buzz right now in the golf community in Calgary. Everyone who goes down there has fallen in love with it!

With the season winding up down there, Barry was able to come home and we are so glad!!

A few updates...

~Macy is starting to cruise along furniture and she is likes to get into the bear crawl position (on her hands and feet). I am so excited for her to start walking! She is starting to get her 7th and 8th teeth. She talks a lot (we just don't know what she is saying!) She will answer yes and no. and we are learning that she has a very "spirited" personality!
~Kyla is LOVING joy school this year! She could spend hours at a craft table, tracing letters and following simple directions. She loves it! She is still tiny and her and Macy are sharing some clothes. She is taking gymnastics and obsesses over being able to do things like, "hop on one foot" , "safety landings" , and "star jumps." It's fun to watch her, but she tells me that she liked dance class better.
~Tommy has finally blossomed at school and actually says he likes grade 4. Big shocker! He is in love with his new scate board he bought with his own money and begs to go to the skate park. He is still a natural on the piano and barely needs me to help him anymore. His piano teacher loves him!
~Barry and I are looking forward to a week in Dallas in November. This will be fun because it is where we met and dated. We will also go to a Dallas Cowboys game, barry has been dying to take me! I'm excited for some time alone with him!

Twinkle little Star

I wanted to post a few more vacation pics, but took this one last week and it deserves its own post. We have taken a break from dance and Kyla is trying out gymnastics. With her petite body, sassy attitude and monkey type personality. I'm thinking she may be a future Canadian Olympic Gymnast!!! and if not, she will look adorable and have fun!!

Summer Adventures

Just returned from about 4 weeks of vacationing! Amazing right! I am actually feeling a bit spoiled and wondering when someone is going to pinch me :)

But before we did that we spent a week with family in Southern Alberta and Montana. It is funny to me that when i think about Montana now it is with a sparkle in my eye, because previously I always thought of it as sort of creepy. It's the last untamed wilderness. You know... mountain men, trappers, ax murderers... that sorta thing ;) Well, I have found a spot there and it is pure HEAVEN! I love it and after months of hard work and waiting, we have finally closed on it. We (as well as a few other friends/family) are now the proud owners of The Wilderness Club. So exciting! But, now the real work begins. Selling cabin lots, building more amenities etc...

So back to the family reunion... here are some of the things we did.

Slide down a giant water slide. Even grandma and grandpa went down. And so did our dog Zoe - a little against her will ;)
 Climbed trees
 Looked at birds nests
 had water balloon fights
 Did fancy hair-do's
 Spent time with cousins
 Used our OUTSIDE voices!
 Read lots of books
Played at Lake Koocanusa with cousins. This lake has a cool name "Koo" stands for the Kootenie river that feeds into it. "can" stands for Canada because it starts in Canada and "usa" stands for USA because it's southern parts are in the United States! Cool right!
Took pictures with cousins (this is almost all of sharon and rons 25 grandkids) a few were missing ;(
 Played golf
and more golf... it is just too beautiful here!

It was a fun week with family that we don't see much because they moved away. We hope to make this a tradition!

Our next adventure was in Utah seeing my family. We did lots of fun things, here are a few of them.
We went to the Truck show grandpa LOVES old cars!

Tommy did the kids golf cart pull and just about won!
 I went to Josh Groban!!!

I swear that voice comes straight from heaven!
this post is getting long and therefor
