Finally Finished

I finished the A to Z book and added 10 more pages of Prophets in the Book of Mormon, because I had extra pages in my album. Here they are. Now on to the next thing... Memory game, :)

Book of Mormon Prophets

It has begun!!

For me, Christmas doesn't start until after American Thanksgiving! So now it is official! I have gotten most of my shopping done for the kids (just making a few for them now) and pretty much know what else I need to pickup for Barry. Though, last night he said,
"There is something I am thinking of that I hope you are getting me."

Than I said,

"Did you tell me you want it?"

He said,

"No, but if you have been observant, than you will know I want it."

I said,

"K, seriously, I can't read minds, do you realize how much information goes through my head in a day. I have to worry about so much. It would be so much easier if you just wrote me a dang list."

Barry,

"Well, I'm not going to."

So you there you have it folks... Another year of not knowing exactly what he wants. SO HARD!! But, I think he will like what I am getting anyway.

We will put our tree and decor up on tuesday and send out our Christmas cards soon after that... I will probably have to write our letter :( Barry is so busy! So here is our card this year... You all voted. Funny thing is, this is the first card I made. It is the one I didn't think anyone would like that much. Go figure :)
29 Weeks today!!! Yipee :)

Happy Holiday season everyone!!!

More A to Z book

Here are a few more pages for the A to Z quiet book for Kyla and Tommy. I changed the "H" page. Also, found a album for 2$ to put these in, and the prints will only be about 6$

I remember a family in our ward growing up who had a tradition. The parents bought gifts for everyone, then the siblings drew names and had to "make" something for the person they got. Growing up I always thought it would be pretty lame, but doing this has totally changed my mind! You can make some great stuff, for very little money and it means SO MUCH MORE!!!

Good news...

Went to my first OB appt today. Everything is good, and... the doctor said that after looking at my 13 week ultrasound, he said I am due Feb 15th instead of the 16th. Yes I just took a day off my pregnancy! Sweet :) He also said, my tummy is exactly the right size for being 28 weeks... huh? Strange! I guess I feel FATTER than I am :)

I also asked him about my little "problem" that some of my friends know of :) He said, don't worry, it's no big deal. Then laughed when I told him it makes me feel ugly and that I cried to my hubby about it! I guess us women can be silly sometimes :)

Also, a few months ago I "thought" I felt a lump in my left breast. Probably isn't anything, but... I have a lot of cancer in my family history and didn't want to take a chance. My grandma died in her 40's of breast cancer, my grandpa died of prostate cancer, my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer when Tommy was young and my mom has benign fibrocystic breast disease, which means she has non-cancerous lumps throughout her breasts. So, I feel like it is something I need to keep an eye on! Well, my family doctor kind of brushed it aside, so I talked to the OB about it today. He said it was hard to get a good feel because my milk ducts have grown in so much, but he is sending me for a ultrasound. To rule it out. I love it when doctors take me seriously! Probably going to be nothing, but at least then, I will know!

Last but for sure not least... Got Tommy's school pictures back yesterday. They are your typical school pictures, where the photographer doesn't try too hard to get a great shot. But, he's still my sweet Tommy, and I think he is precious!

Tommy says the darndest things :)

I teach my sons class in primary and one of the boys in his class informed me last sunday that he knows the first 6 articles of faith. Impressive! So, I decided Tommy should be able to learn them too.

This morning I was driving him to school because I was volunteering in his class. On the way I started teaching him the first article of faith. I made him repeat after me.

Me: Tommy, almost all of them begin with "We Believe," that makes it easy. So here we go.

Me: We believe in God the eternal father

Tommy: We believe in "the God of the internal father"

Me: No, the eternal

Tommy: That's what I said, "the" internal.

Me: Eternal, like eternity. Not internal

Tommy: Eternal

Me: *Repeat first part* , and in his son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost.

Tommy: *We believe in the God the "internal" father, and in his son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost.

Me: *after a few more tries* Okay, we'll work on it, but good job! Can you tell me what that means? Who are we saying we believe in?

Tommy: Um, the Holy Ghost, Heavenly Father, and... Baby Jesus!

Me: *Burst out laughing, followed by Tommy laughing too* Good Tommy, yeah Jesus Christ which is the same as baby Jesus.

(My thinking at the time... Okay it is Christmas... We're thinking baby Jesus right now, also thinking... Talladega Nights movie - Dear Baby Jesus...)

It was so cute and funny at the same time :)

Quiet Book

So I started working on a A to Z quiet book for church. I'll get these printed in 4 x 6 and put them in a small album. Here are my first eight pages. I may change some of them, but it's a start.

I need your help!!!

I am all in the crafty mood since super saturday today! So here is my thinking...

A few years ago for Christmas I made my son this to play cars on.
It included all the places we went in calgary including cousins houses and where we lived. Not my best peice of work, (I never finished the edges or finished coloring it) but my mom made one for my brother when he was little and I remember playing with that thing ALOT!!
So, I want to start a tradition. Every year I want to hand make one thing for each person in my immediate family. So, any ideas for Kyla, Tommy and the hardest... Barry!
Here are a few of my ideas for Kyla

Fun Crayons from molds.

Play make-up. It hardens so it's just for pretend :)

I could do, eye shadow, blush, foundation etc...

or a quiet book for church, either soft or with pictures representing church things from A-Z

Here are my ideas for Tommy

A magnet board for his room, but more boyish (in a vintage sport theme)

A personalized memory game with pictures of him with friends family etc...

A notebook, that I personalize for him (he loves notebooks for some reason!) mod podge my own paper on etc...And get him some cool pens.

I am quite stumped with what to do for Barry.

For him I was thinking, maybe go to a pottery decorating place and make him a special "Dallas Cowboys" plate that he can eat off of when he watches the game! He is the biggest fan ever!!
What do you think?
Thanks
